Winter enthusiasts will soon be able to challenge the cross-country ski course that’s being groomed at the International Peace Garden this winter. The Manitoba Cross-country Ski Association is bringing its provincial championships to the International Peace Garden in February 2017, and its 5.3 kilometre course will be open to the public this winter.
The beauty of coming to meet at the garden in winter is the range of outdoor activity available in the Garden and in the neighborhood. The cross-country ski trails at the International Peace Garden are just one venue. Ski trails – and downhill opportunities – can be found in both provincial and state parks. Adam Lake – next door in Manitoba – also maintains a couple of skating rinks on the lake each winter – in addition to their 44 kilometres of groomed ski trails in their park.
Come to our winter play-ground to play in the snow – and come to our oasis to warm up and experience our promise of peace. At any time of the year.
