The International Peace Garden is a lovely place to hold a wedding.  On this page, you can find information about the facilities available at the garden for weddings and receptions, as well as a list of caterers.  Whether you choose from our list or not, we will need the caterer's name, address, and phone number.  Gate admission is $10 per vehicle if you do not wish to pay your guests' admission fees.

There is no rental charge for weddings in the Formal Garden area. However, if any party wishes to use the Peace Garden folding chairs (maximum 100 chairs); there will be a charge of $100.00 which should be paid at least 30 days before the wedding date. The International Peace Garden staff will be responsible for the setup and take-down of the chairs. Extra chairs may be brought in but that will be the responsibility of the renter. A piano or organ will have to be provided by the wedding party. An electrical outlet is available by the fountain.

A written request to reserve the Formal Garden area for a particular day must be on file at the Peace Garden office to ensure the area has been properly reserved. Please specify which way you would like the chairs to face.

Absolutely NO CONFETTI is to be thrown in the Formal Garden Area.

There is no charge for the use of the Peace Chapel. However, donations are accepted and will be deposited in the Maintenance Fund for the Chapel provided by the Order of the Eastern Star. Wedding parties will make all of their own arrangements. There is a charge of $50.00 for the setting up of chairs, if required. This fee should be paid in advance. The organ is available for use by the wedding party. There are washrooms close by for your convenience.

A written request to reserve the Chapel for a particular day should be on file at the Peace Garden office to ensure the Peace Chapel has been properly reserved.

The seating capacity of the Peace Chapel is approximately 100 people.

A liquor permit must be authorized by the Manitoba Liquor Commission fourteen (14) days in advance of using the Errick Willis Pavilion.

The three main rules a liquor inspector checks are:

• No extra liquor

• No over-crowding

• No liquor being served to underage people (under 18 in Manitoba)

If you are getting married between the months of May and August, consider having classical guitarist William Flynn play your wedding ceremony and/or reception.

William has been playing guitar since 1984 and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music in Classical Guitar Performance from California State University, Fullerton, where he studied under David Grimes.  In addition to participating as a performing student in more than a dozen masterclasses with guitarists from around the world, he has also studied privately with William Kanengiser of USC and internationally renowned guitarist Christopher Parkening.

William is part of the summer seasonal staff and is a Ph.D. student in Geography at Oklahoma State University, writing his dissertation over the border geography of the International Peace Garden.
