"Peace at the Garden"
by Webb Foley & His Musical Counts
Recorded in 1961

Many stories have been told and many songs have been written, but none can reflect the true fascination of a great state any more than the monumental symbol of friendship at the Peace Garden.  Already thousands of tourists are pouring into this state every summer and thousands more to come…

Greater things have happened in our state of North Dakota
Than our eastern friends could ever realize.
Our history is bright
Cause we fought for what was right.
We’re so proud we’ll take the nation by surprise.

Peace at the Garden will long be remembered
And cherished by our neighbors up above.
Nations far and wide
Will stay by our side
To strengthen ties of everlasting love.

Rough ‘N Ready Teddy led his riders to preserve
The beauty and the glory of our Plains.
Our scenery, so true,
Will always be a part of you.
Come out here and forever you’ll remain.

Peace at the Garden will long be remembered
And cherished by our neighbors up above.
Heaven here on earth,
We’ll tell you what it’s worth
Living in a state of lasting love.
