Peace Garden General Information

The International Peace Garden is a non-profit organization operated by a sixteen-person Board of Directors. Half of the Directors are Canadians and half are Americans. Of the sixteen board members, the Governor of the North Dakota appoints one and the Premier of Manitoba appoints one.

The State of North Dakota and the Province of Manitoba provide equal funding to the garden with some assistance from the American and Canadian Federal Governments, mostly for capital projects. Admission fees, the gift shop, food services and donations provide the primary, source of operating funds
